Harmon has since returned to the United States. The Patriots have released a statement noting the team is aware of Harmon’s situation and they are attempting to gain more information at this point.
Harmon was a key player in the Patriots secondary this season, racking up 23 tackles and four interceptions — which included a big interception of Nick Foles in Super Bowl LII. Harmon, 27, has spent his entire five-year career in New England and was named captain in 2017.
