Hawks fans who met at team’s Tinder Night to be married at Phillips Arena
The Atlanta Hawks announced on Valentine’s Day that two fans who fell in love after meeting at a team Tinder Night event a few years back will in fact be married at Phillips Arena in March.
And the best part? The Hawks will foot the bill for the entire ceremony, as Hawks CEO Steve Koonin promised last year.

The Atlanta Hawks have announced that ‘Swipe Right Night’ couple Ben McCleskey and Avery Armstrong will say their vows and get married center court of Philips Arena on Saturday, March 3. Nearly two years ago, Hawks Chief Executive Officer, Steve Koonin offered to host and pay for the couple’s wedding should they ever decide to get married. The ceremony will take place on the hardwood at Philips Arena and will be followed by a reception for more than 200 guests in the arena’s newly-opened, exclusive Courtside Club.
As noted above, Ben McCleskey and Avery Armstrong originally met at a Tinder “Swipe Right Night” in 2015, and they have been chronicling their Hawks-inspired courtship ever since.

Armstrong, who has since given birth to the couple’s first child, took to Twitter last year to remind the Hawks and Koonin about the CEO’s promise, after the couple made plans to tie the knot.
