Le’Veon Bell tweets $60 million in cash ‘ain’t enough’ to sign with Jets
Le’Veon Bell seemingly took a shot at the New York Jets when responding to an inquiry about his looming free agency, tweeting $60 million in cash “ain’t enough” to sign with the team.
A Twitter user posed the question jokingly, and it appears the Pittsburgh Steelers’ soon-to-be free agent running back responded in kind.
that ain’t enough to come run with the Jets… https://t.co/R0Ockg5Leh

All kidding aside, Bell is set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 14 when the NFL’s new year begins. All indications are that Bell and the Steelers are in a far better position to hammer out a long-term deal this offseason compared to last year, when Bell ended up playing under the franchise tag for $12.12 million.
Should the Steelers tag Bell again, the running back would stand to earn $14.54 million for the 2018 season. Bell previously threatened to hold out or even retire should the Steelers tag him again, so that’s unlikely to happen. The same evidently can be said about Bell joining the Jets next season should he become a free agent … perhaps regardless of how much cash is thrown his way.
