Patriots will wear white road jerseys at Super Bowl LII

The New England Patriots on Tuesday announced the team will wear their road white jerseys in their showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

As noted in the tweet, the Patriots have posted a sterling 3-0 record in Super Bowls under Bill Belichick when wearing white jerseys. Interestingly, teams wearing white have won 12 of the past 13 Super Bowls. The Patriots are technically the home team in Super Bowl LII but as such the team has the choice of what jersey to wear.

The Patriots have posted a 16-1 record over the past two seasons when wearing white jerseys, including the playoffs.
