Vikings tweet out great video chronicling fan reaction to ‘Minneapolis Miracle’

The Minnesota Vikings of course are coming off one of the most thrilling finishes in NFL playoff history courtesy of what now has been dubbed the “Minneapolis Miracle,” a play that secured Sunday’s 29-24 victory over the New Orleans Saints. And it goes without saying Vikings fans during the game experienced a roller-coaster of emotions they will remember — and cherish — for the rest of their lives.

With 10 seconds remaining, no timeouts and down 24-23, Case Keenum uncorked a pass that landed in the hands of Stefon Diggs, who — after Saints corner Marcus Williams inexplicably whiffed on a potential game-clinching tackle — planted his hand to steady himself and raced to the end zone as time expired for a game-winning, 61-yard touchdown.

Pandemonium of course ensued inside a deafening U.S. Bank Stadium.

Diggs’ phenomenal play undoubtedly will be etched permanently in the minds of Vikings fans for the rest of their sports-loving lives.

Vikings fans of course have grown accustomed over the decades to postseasons ending horrifically in crushing fashion. So much so that the cathartic outpouring of jubilation was especially noteworthy in the wake of Sunday’s mind-blowing victory.

And now, the Vikings have put together a fantastic video documenting how Vikings fans reacted to the team somehow snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.

Crazy stuff, indeed. Things got so crazy for one fan, in fact, he actually suffered a torn Achilles’ tendon during his celebration.

The Vikings travel to Lincoln Financial Field for a showdown Sunday against the Philadlephia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Should Minnesota win? They would become the first team ever to play in the Super Bowl in their home stadium. It’s difficult to say if Vikings fans would be able to process such a thing without coming completely unglued. But it’s safe to say they’re willing to take the chance.
