Jacksonville bakery trolls Ben Roethlisberger by sending him seven turnovers (pic)

The Jacksonville Jaguars stormed into Heinz Field Sunday and pulled off a divisional-round upset for the ages, upending the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 45-42 shootout. And a Jags-backing bakery in Jacksonville is having some fun with it.

Ben Roethlisberger did all he could do lead the Steelers to victory. Big Ben completed 37-of-58 passes for an incredible 469 yards and amazing five touchdowns. But it was all for naught.

Despite Roethlisberger’s otherworldly numbers, the Steelers veteran signal-caller did commit two turnovers during the loss, an interception as well as a fumble that was returned for a touchdown by the Jags’ dangerous defense.

Bearing in mind those two turnovers are on top of the career-worst five picks — including two that went for pick-sixes — Roethlisberger threw in the Steelers’ humbling 30-9 loss to the Jags in Week 5. Simple math tells you Big Ben was responsible for seven turnovers in the two losses to the Jaguars.

That’s where a Jacksonville, Fla., bakery enters the story. In a “sweet” bit of trolling, Cinotti’s Bakery has sent seven turnovers — get it? — to Roethlisberger to thank him for his contributions to the Jags’ magical season, one that continues with a showdown Sunday against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.

The bakery took to Instagram to document the shipment, which was addressed in care of Big Ben at Heinz Field.

“Dear Big Ben…… We wanted to thank you for the amazing season so far,” the note reads. “Beating you this year not once BUT twice in the Burgh….well that was amazing! We appreciated the turnovers you gave us over our season so in return we wanted you to get a TASTE of 7 turnovers. So here are our very best Apple, blueberry and Cherry turnovers! Sincerely, the amazing City of Jacksonville or as you know it SACKSONVILLE.”

Well played. Well played, indeed. In fact, one could call it delicious.
