Matt Ryan back at Falcons practice Wednesday after missing Tuesday
Matt Ryan on Wednesday was back at practice with the Atlanta Falcons after missing Tuesday’s session.
“He’s here today and we’re back getting out things going and our preparation, so I won’t address the topic with you guys, that is Matt’s story to tell,” Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said, via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I did want to make sure that you knew he was back in action today.”
Ryan was at the Falcons facility Tuesday before departing. A statement issued by the Falcons indicated Ryan’s “absence was non-injury related” and that the quarterback was “tending to a personal matter.”
Quinn indicated the Falcons won’t alter the practice schedule to make up for Ryan’s absence Tuesday, noting the veteran signal-caller’s experience as a reason no change will be necessary.
“For you guys that have been around Matt, he’s one of the very best competitors and most professional ball players that I’ve been around,” Quinn said. “No adjustment for that. We’ll go right through. … We are fortunate that he’s back here today and back into. No setbacks for him or for us. We are ready to keep rocking and rolling with our preparation.”
The Falcons, coming off a Wild Card road win over the Los Angeles Rams, face the Philadelphia Eagles in a divisional round match-up Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
