Seth Wickersham’s Wikipedia page altered amid bombshell Patriots report

Disgruntled New England Patriots fans presumably were the individuals behind repeated alterations to the Wikipedia page of ESPN’s Seth Wickersham.

The sportswriter’s bombshell report, titled, “For Kraft, Brady and Belichick, is this the beginning of the end?” suggests turmoil within the New England Patriots organization, allegations that have rocked the NFL world.

Wickersham’s piece suggests a power struggle between Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft threatens to tear the Patriots dynasty apart.

The allegation is that Jimmy Garoppolo is at the center of said power struggle and resulting rift, specifically concerning how the decision to trade the young quarterback put Belichick at odds with Kraft and Brady, the latter of whom allegedly forced the Patriots to trade Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers.

The Patriots on Friday upon the article’s release issued a statement on behalf of Kraft, Belichick and Brady in which the parties deny the allegations.

Subsequent reporting has refuted several allegations contained in Wickersham’s reporting. That said, the situation obviously is ongoing and much is left to be unpacked.

However, that hasn’t stopped some from engaging in shenanigans on Wickersham’s Wikipedia page.

Wickersham’s Wikipedia page has since been restored to characterize him only as “an American sportswriter.” Odds are the powers-that-be at Wikipedia will be keeping a close eye on Wickersham’s page for the immediate future.
