Twins third baseman Miguel Sano accused of assault by photographer
Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano has been accused by a photographer who has worked various team events of assault.
The photographer, Betsy Bissen, indicates in her Twitter bio that she does work for Twins Daily, a team-specific site, as well as the St. Paul Saints, an independent-league baseball team.
Bissen detailed in a tweet posted Thursday morning the disturbing allegations on Twitter. She claims Sano forcibly tried to kiss her and later physically assaulted her on an unspecified date following an autograph session in an effort to force her into a bathroom. She also details alarming behavior by a Twins coach as well.
This is not easy for me to share, but I feel I need to share it. This is my story. #metoo pic.twitter.com/PM6g6YuABf

Bissen later indicated in a subsequent tweet that the Twins organization is unaware of the allegations in response to a suggestion her allegations may have led to a report about the Twins potentially shopping Sano.
The Twins knew nothing about what happened to me. https://t.co/LA57PLXEXe

More details presumably will emerge regarding these disturbing allegations, not to mention the assumption the Twins ultimately will have to issue some sort of response. But it goes without saying it’s a troubling situation.
