Julian Edelman trolls Falcons with ’28-3′ reference to Boston weather (pic)
It’s been well over 10 months since the Atlanta Falcons’ epic collapse in Super Bowl LI. Will the trolling over inexplicably blowing a 28-3 third-quarter lead and losing in overtime to the New England Patriots ever end? Evidently not.
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman became the last person to drudge up the arguably now-overplayed bit by making a 28-3 reference when making mention of the frigid weather in Boston on Wednesday.
Zing. We see what you did there, Edelman. 28 feels like 3. That’s about as cold as the New England weather.
Still, it may be time to retire the 28-3 references at this point. While there have been several examples of savagely clever ways to work in such a reference — even from the Patriots themselves — the well-worn bit arguably has run its course.
