New York Giants interim head coach Steve Spagnuolo on Wednesday confirmed what has been expected by restoring Eli Manning as the team’s starting quarterback.

Manning, who was unceremoniously benched last Sunday, snapping a streak of 210 consecutive starts, will begin a new streak on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium.
Manning himself had some thoughts on a whirlwind and emotional week or so, stating he’s focused only on the future, not the past. He also expressed hope that Giants fans will come out and support the team.
Eli Manning: I'm excited about the opportunity to start this week and be out there with my teammates to play the Dallas Cowboys. #GiantsPride

It’s been a tumultuous week, not to mention season, for the Giants organization, to say the least. It appears the Giants have committed to starting a new future with the firings of head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese, something that prompted Giants ownership sending an apology letter out to season-ticket holders. Restoring Manning to his rightful spot as the team’s starting quarterback certainly is a step in the right direction.
