Jennifer Lopez endorses Alex Rodriguez as next Yankees manager

It may be shocking to hear it, but Jennifer Lopez believes that Alex Rodriguez should be the next manager of the New York Yankees.

J. Lo, who just so happens to be dating A-Rod, took to social media to tout her boyfriend’s managerial credentials, both on Twitter and Instagram.

The article linked by Lopez in both posts is from SB Nation. Titled, “The best and only choice for Yankees manager is obvious,” the piece is a fairly in-depth, detailed breakdown why Rodriguez is the only candidate who could replace Joe Girardi. It would seem

Unfortunately, despite Lopez’s endorsement, it would appear that A-Rod isn’t even interested in the job.

“I’ve never thought about [managing],” Rodriguez, 42, told former Yankees teammate CC Sabathia recently on a podcast for The Players’ Tribune. “I’ve always thought about one day ownership could be interesting.

“I will say that being a manager for the New York Yankees is almost like POTUS [President of the United States]. It’s like one of those jobs that everybody and anybody should or would pay attention to because the New York Yankees are the greatest franchise in sports — not only in America, but in the entire globe.

“And whether you’re in China or Dubai or Australia, everybody knows that logo — even if you’re not a baseball fan — you understand that [the] New York Yankees are the best franchise in the greatest city in the world.”

Strange. One would expect the superstar couple to be on the same wavelength when it comes to such matters. Then again, maybe J. Lo knows more about what A-Rod is thinking than the rest of us. Which would make sense.

Let the speculation commence.
