Odd Couple: Joe Torre was seated next to Lady Gaga at World Series (pic)
It’s hardly a surprise that MLB chief baseball officer Joe Torre was at Dodger Stadium Tuesday night for Game 1 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros.
What is surprising — in a surreal kind of scene that arguably could only happen in L.A. — Torre happened to have quite the intriguing seatmate while taking in the game:
Lady Gaga.
The pop superstar took to Twitter to document how she and a friend would be seated next to the iconic New York Yankees manager at Game 1.

Only in LA., folks.
Lady Gaga is of course a native New Yorker and has even been known to take in a Yankees and Mets games from time to time. Although a couple of appearances in a short time span at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field a few years back generated unflattering, but very Gaga-esque, headlines for the singer-songwriter.
That said, there have been no reports of such outrageous shenanigans out of Gaga on Tuesday night as she watched the Dodgers take a 1-0 series lead with a 3-1 victory over the Astros.
There’s always Game 2, however, on Wednesday night. Perhaps Lady Gaga, if attending, will feel a bit more free to let out her inner monster if Mr. Torre isn’t seated next to her.
