Jerry Jones screws up Superman metaphor with Kryptonite talk (vid)
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is a proud alum of the University of Arkansas and his alma mater is doing its part to celebrate his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Part of the pomp and circumstance to honor Jones — who was a member of Arkansas’ 1964 national championship team — involves the Razorbacks’ Saturday showdown with the Texas A&M Aggie at Jones’ own AT&T Stadium. And not only will Arkansas be playing in the Palace the Jerry Built, the team will don a red version of the Cowboys uniform.
Jones recently was waxing nostalgic about his time in Fayetteville all those years ago and playing Razorback football when he busted out a Superman metaphor that shows … well … it shows Jones knows next to nothing about Superman.

“I think of the days that I’d put the Razorback helmet on… it just made me Superman,” Jones said. “It was like Kryptonite.”
Wait what? By the red sun of Krypton, what in the world is Jones talking about?
Anyway, once informed of his gaffe — as if that would ever happen — Jones probably would like to emulate Superman and fly around the Earth at super speed and reverse time. Or he wouldn’t. Probably the latter.
