Urban Meyer highlights team’s LeBron James gear, LeBron approves (pics)
Ohio State Buckeyes head football coach Urban Meyer on Wednesday evening took to Twitter to showcase how his players were sporting LeBron James’ Nike gear. The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar just so happened to take notice and tweeted out his approval.
The Buckeyes were embarking upon a trip to Bloomington, Ind., to take on the Indiana Hoosiers Thursday night. The players were outfitted in “red polos with a Block O one side and the king’s crown on the other, and gray hoodies with the LJ logo on the shoulders,” per Clevleand.com.
Meyer highlighted the themed gear by tagging James in the tweet.

James, who has adopted his home state Buckeyes as his stand-in, quasi-alma mater since he of course did not attend college, was not surprisingly pleased with Meyer’s shout-out.
Yes sir! Love seeing my guys move in style!! @OhioStateFB #StriveForGreatness https://t.co/k4F6JZCdjB

James’ association with the Buckeyes athletics has grown in recent years, with the NBA star taking in Ohio State games from the sidelines, among other sports-related outings. It’s clear that the relationship between James and Ohio State has proven to be mutally beneficial. To wit:
That's a LeBron James Nike logo on Urban Meyer's sleeve. It's only a matter of time before it's on the jerseys, IMO pic.twitter.com/C3BjCJd86O

Talk about two powerhouse brands coming together, to say the least.
