Timberwolves release two of four new jersey designs (pic)

The Minnesota Timberwovles on Thursday unveiled two of the team’s four new jersey designs, with the announcement in part arriving with a video posted to Twitter.

The two designs are for the “Icon” (Midnight Navy + Lake Blue) and “Association” (Traditional Home White + Midnight Navy) editions as Nike takes over as the NBA’s uniform and apparel provider. Via the team’s site:

As previously announced by Nike, the NBA is eliminating its Home and Road uniform designations, and instead, home teams will pick which of their uniforms will be worn at all home games, with visiting teams choosing a contrasting uniform from their own assortment. Two additional core uniform designs will be revealed in the coming months.

Both jerseys also feature a patch of the Fitbit logo, who were previously announced as the Timberwolves’ corporate sponsor.

When the final two jerseys will be announced has not been revealed. The “New Threads” aspect of the T’Wolves’ “New Era” motto is heavily profiled on the team’s official website (here).

With new leadership on the court and in the boardroom, the franchise is poised for more significant changes in the coming months towards being champions on the court, having world-class facilities and staff, and growing the game of basketball.

The team has also posted a message from new Timberwolves player Jimmy Butler.

A New Era, indeed.
