Museum seeks Tom Brady’s help in fixing creepy wax sculpture (pic)
Dreamland Wax Museum in Boston has become the target of some criticism this week after images of Tom Brady’s creepy wax figure went viral. And now, the museum seeks to enlist the help of Brady himself to improve upon the original iteration.
Dreamland unveiled the Brady wax sculpture and the response was overwhelmingly negative. Not only did some critics find the sculpture creepy, others pointed out it didn’t much resemble the subject. It goes without saying, too, that the Brady wax sculpture was mocked and ridiculed mercilessly on social media as well.
In reaction to the scathing reviews, Dreamland took to Facebook to point out the grueling work creating a wax sculpture entails as well as invite Brady in for some measurements and such in an effort to improve upon the original creation.
The museum continued its social media activity Thursday, which just so happens to be Tom Brady’s 40th birthday (more coverage here). To mark the occasion, Dreamland announced that should Brady assist them in the sculpture rehab, it will donate all proceeds from that day — as well as the day the improved wax figure is unveiled — to Brady’s favorite charity, Best Buddies International.
It remains to be seen if Brady comes through in the clutch for the museum in the same manner he’s done it countless times for the Patriots.
