Jordan Spieth drinks out of Claret Jug at Dallas country music show (vid)
The Jordan Spieth victory tour following his dramatic win at The Open Championship last weekend continued in his hometown of Dallas Tuesday night. And the 23-year-old Texan fit right in while strolling onstage during Randy Rogers’ and Wade Bowen’s “Hold My Beer Tour” show at the House of Blues.
After showcasing the Claret Jug, Spieth and the country music crooners took turns taking a sip out of the trophy. It can only be assumed said drink was of the adult beverage variety.
The official Facebook page of the “Hold My Beer Tour” posted footage of the festivities.
“King Jordan makes a surprise appearance to share his new trophy with the packed House of Blues ‘hold my beer and watch this’ crowd!!” the post reads.
Not surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Spieth has used the Claret Jug as a makeshift-yet-fancy drinking vessel following his triumphant victory at Royal Birkdale. Spieth’s pal, Justin Thomas, posted video of said shenanigans.
The proper way to celebrate winning the British Open.

Imbibing on adult beverages out of the Claret Jug obviously is nothing new, just ask Rory McIlroy. It appears Spieth is more than happy to continue the time-honored tradition.
