Giants head coach Ben McAdoo shows off stylish makeover (pic)
Ben McAdoo may be a talented football mind but his sense of style has been widely panned ever since he took over as head coach of the New York Giants ahead of last season. And it appears being criticized for his lack of style on several occasions has inspired McAdoo to undergo a major stylistic transformation over this past offseason.
The latest example of McAdoo’s metamorphosis from frumpy sideline general with a bad haircut into something of a fashionisto was on full display during an in-studio appearance Sunday on NBC New York.
McAdoo put his best fashion foot forward when chatting with Bruce Beck. Not only was he sporting a new hairstyle (more on that later), McAdoo was rocking a very stylish ensemble featuring a nice pair of slacks, a slick button-down shirt and sharp blazer.

The dude cleans up good, right?
As noted, McAdoo was mocked and ridiculed last season for his utter lack of fashion sense. It began with his introductory press conference when he appeared at the podium wearing a comically oversized suit that had designers offering their assistance.
The hairstyle McAdoo showcased during his appearance Sunday appears to have been the first stage of his makeover, as he debuted it earlier this summer.

McAdoo’s hairstyle last season even inspired Chris Christie to mock the Giants coach, although the case can be made McAdoo got the last laugh courtesy of a fantastic Beyonce reference.
Suffice to say, McAdoo looks like he’s taken all the criticism to heart. An NFL head coach obviously doesn’t need to be a snappy dresser to enjoy success — Bill Belichick proves that every time he rocks his “hobo chic” look — but McAdoo deserves credit for updating his look.
