Panthers drop ‘Fresh Prince’ theme lyrics via first words in tweets

We’re approaching the dog days of summer, especially when it comes to the NFL, which arguably is in its quietest stage of the year, which says something given the 365-days-a-year mentality the league currently operates under.

So what do NFL teams do to break the monotony and still keep their fans engaged through their various social media platforms? For the Carolina Panthers, it involves crafting tweets over a series of days which contain first words that when read in reverse order are the lyrics to the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song.

Got it?

The Panthers tipped off its followers to the social media shenanigans via the final tweet that “completes” the reversely done lyrics.

And here’s the rest of the tweets, in reverse order. Enjoy.

Put those first words in all those tweets in order and it reads: “Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down and I’d like to take a minute just sit right there I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air.”

Wow. Even Will Smith doesn’t know what to say about that move. It would make Alfonso Ribeiro break out “The Carlton,” though.

Summertime in the NFL, folks. There you go.
