Marshawn Lynch to give away 2K free water park tickets to Oakland kids

Marshawn Lynch’s triumphant return to his hometown of Oakland after coming out of retirement to sign with the Raiders could not be going better. Not only is the veteran running back drawing praise from his Raiders teammates and coaching staff, Lynch is continuing his longstanding devotion to the Oakland community.

And Lynch’s latest act of generosity will get the first 2,000 kids to arrive at a local water park free admission on July 5.

The Raiders running back took to Twitter to announce the upcoming event next week in his trademark Beast Mode fashion.

As the tweeted photo notes, kids can show up Thursday at Lynch’s Beast Mode Apparel store in downtown Oakland to land the free tickets.

As noted, this isn’t even the first fantastic gesture Lynch has made to Oakland youth since signing with the Raiders. Earlier this month, Lynch offered free haircuts to youngsters boasting a 3.0 GPA, per Larry Brown Sports.

Suffice to say, Lynch’s homecoming has been inspirational, both on and off the field. How the 31-year-old performs after a long layoff once the 2017 regular season kicks off remains to be seen. But from what his teammates (here) and coaches (here) have been saying about how he has looked thus far, there’s no reason to count out significant contributions from Lynch just yet. Perhaps Beast Mode has been restored in Oak-Town.
