Phil Jackson reportedly fell asleep during draft prospect workout
Another day, another unflattering Phil Jackson story emerges.
The New York Knicks president, already under fire for an abysmal first few years as boss and drawing the ire of fans and analysts alike after confirming Wednesday he’s entertaining offers for budding superstar Kristaps Porzingis, reportedly fell asleep during the workout of an unidentified draft prospect.
ESPN analyst Jay Williams relayed the damning and embarrassing allegation during an appearance Wednesday on “Outside the Lines.”

It almost goes without saying that things are going from bad to worse with the Knicks under Jackson’s leadership. While his coaching pedigree is obviously beyond reproach, Jackson’s attempt at running an NBA team has been a mostly futile effort, a dismal performance predominantly marred by his feud with Carmelo Anthony, who for some reason apparently wants to remain a Knick despite Jackson’s publicly trying to run him out of town.
Jackson’s current contract with the Knicks ends in 2019. One is left to legitimately wonder if the Zen Master will last that long … or if he even wants to.
