Photo depicting Kawhi Leonard sans braids apparently a fake
Trade rumors involving several NBA superstars? Meh. The fallout of the Cleveland Cavaliers parting ways with general manager David Griffin? Shrug.
Despite all the rampant rumors and widespread innuendo currently rocking the NBA world, one of the biggest (?) stories of the early offseason set social media buzzing Tuesday night when a photograph hit the Internet seemingly depicting San Antonio Spurs superstar Kawhi Leonard without his trademark braids.

Fortunately for admirers of Leonard’s stylish braids, the photograph apparently is a fake.
“Just received a call from people close to Kawhi…told me this photo is fake,” reads a tweet from the San Antonio Express’ Jabari Young. “So there’s that. His braids are still intact.”
The entire “Braid-Gate” drama appears to have been the work of some Photoshop (or what have you) wisenheimer.
Someone did take a photo of Kawhi at this gym and decided to alter the pic. But again, he HAS NOT cut his hair. So Braid-Gate is over #Spurs

Whew. Talk about a huge relief. Or something.
