P.K. Subban plays off Sidney Crosby troll-job with mouthwash tweet
P.K. Subban is proving to be a promotional boon for a particular brand of mouthwash courtesy of what started as a brilliant troll-job of Sidney Crosby, one of the odder stories to emerge from the Stanley Cup Final.
The Nashville Predators superstar defenseman took to Twitter Wednesday evening to once again make a reference to Listerine, this time to proclaim its “game prep” qualities.

The Listerine angle all started when Subban and the Pittsburgh Penguins star had a heated exchange during Game 3. Subban said after Nashville’s 5-1 victory that Crosby had something to say about his breath.
“He told me my breath smelled, but I don’t know, I used Listerine before the game so I don’t know what he’s talking about,” Subban said.
Crosby denied he ever said such a thing but the Listerine-inspired skullduggery continued with Subban bringing a bag full of said mouthwash to Bridgestone Arena ahead of Game 4.

The Predators proceeded to tie-up the series at two games apiece courtesy of a 4-1 win, so it makes sense that Subban is keeping with the Listerine silliness.
On a more serious note, Subban posted a video via The Undefeated’s official Twitter account to say Game 5 is “the biggest game of his life.”

The puck drops for Game 5 Thursday night at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. And it looks like Subban’s breath will be cool minty fresh, which is nice.
