Warriors announce Kevin Durant has been fully cleared for practice
The Golden State Warriors officially announced via statement Thursday that Kevin Durant has been fully cleared to return to full-team practice. The statement notes that barring any setbacks, Durant is expected to be back in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Warriors’ statement corroborates reports earlier this week that indicated Durant’s return would come sooner rather than later. The statement notes Durant has been participating in 2-on-2, 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 scrimmages in recent days. The next logical step of course is fully practicing.
Durant suffered a sprained MCL and tibial bone bruise on Feb. 28 and has missed the Warriors’ past 19 games. After losing four of their first six games without Durant, the Warriors have since rattled off 13 straight victories.
While it took a little time for Warriors to adapt to his addition to an already potent lineup, Durant has settled in, averaging 25.3 points, 4.8 assists and 8.2 rebounds per game.
The postseason starts a week from Saturday, and the Warriors again will hold the top seed in the Western Conference.
