adidas has come up with an interesting way to pay tribute to all the splendor that is the Masters and its iconic locale, Augusta National Golf Club. And what better way to do so than by celebrating something integral to the total Masters experience?
adidas announced this week the creation of a shoe that pays tribute to the classic pimento cheese sandwich, a culinary experience that is synonymous with attending the Masters and patrolling the majestic grounds of Augusta National.
Behold, the adidas Pimento Edition.

adidas explains the concept, via CBS Sports:
The all white shoe, symbolic of the sandwich’s white bread, features minimalistic pops of green on the heal and sole, and a pimento cheese designed sockliner paying homage to the $1.50 concession stand staple.
The price of the golf shoes aren’t quite the bargain as the concession item that inspired them, as the Pimento Edition shoes will retail for $180.

adidas touts golfers can “unwrap fresh comfort” with the Pimento Edition shoes on its official site:
Full-length BOOST midsole, pimento cheese sockliner, and a breathable knit upper. Sure to have you saying “AMEN” whether you’re on the first tee or the 18th green.
Yummy. Well, as much as a shoe can be declared as such … which isn’t all that much, obviously.
