MLB teams tweet support for Chad Bettis as he undergoes chemotherapy

Colorado Rockies pitcher Chad Bettis on Monday received expressions of support from several MLB teams and social media at large as he continues to wage a battle against cancer.

Bettis, originally diagnosed with testicular cancer late last year, was declared cancer-free in January following surgery on Nov. 29. Subsequent tests in early March, however, unfortunately indicated otherwise, as a biopsy of his lymph nodes earlier this month revealed the cancer had spread.

Bettis on Monday started chemotherapy and MLB teams took to Twitter to rally around him, utilizing the hashtags #TogetherforBettis and #BettisBrave to articulate their support after the Rockies inspired the movement.

Among the countless tweets sent out in support of Bettis follow.

Bettis himself took to Twitter to express sincere gratitude for all the support.

Bettis has stated he has every intention of rejoining the Rockies this summer. Best of luck obviously goes out to him in his battle.
