Grayson Allen asks model to serve as Masters Par-3 contest caddie
Grayson Murray has been struggling mightily in his first year on the PGA Tour, having missed the cut in five straight tournaments and eight out 11 on the season.
But the 23-year-old Murray now has some interesting “motivation” to qualify for the Masters, as Playboy model Lindsey Pelas agreed on Twitter to be his caddie at the major’s iconic pre-tournament Par-3 contest.
It all started when Murray on Sunday extended an invitation to Pleas in a tweet, writing, “Hey @LindseyPelas if I win next week in Houston will you be my caddy in the par 3 tournament at The Masters?’
To which Pelas issued a tweet replying in the affirmative, writing, “Obviously” with a golf hole emoji.
A thrilled Murray then tweeted in response: “Ayyyy! Looks like I got some motivation now!”
Murray, even if he has his Par-3 caddie lined up, faces a formidable challenge to simply qualify for the Masters. The only way he’ll be in the field at Augusta National in a few weeks is by winning the Houston Open next week.
After Murray’s brief social media interaction came to a close, a few trolls surfaced to rip Murray over it. But Murray put one of the trolls in their place with a brilliant response.
Oh it could be way worse dude. I could be a washed up beach bum that talks crap to professional golfers on twitter. https://t.co/ko2U1tDsMX

All that aside, let’s hope Murray isn’t banking on anything beyond a strictly golfer-caddie relationship with Pelas, as the 25-year-old model appears to still harbor feelings for her ex-boyfriend, British reality TV star Calum Best.
