Adorable baby race held at halftime of Big Ten Tournament game (vid)
The halftime entertainment during Wednesday’s Rutgers-Ohio State showdown at the Big Ten Tournament featured an impressive lineup of Diaper Dandies. Literally.
The race, featuring adorable babies all the way around, started at one free throw line on the Verizon Center court with the finish line landing just beyond center court.

Not to belabor the whole “Diaper Dandies”/Dick Vitale angle, but something has to be organized so the legendary broadcaster to call one of these races. Imagine Vitale saying, “Look at that baby go! AWESOME BABY!” Or something.
Anyway, as noted in the Big Ten Network’s tweet, the baby representing the Purdue Boilermakers won the race, just as the school’s men’s basketball squad was tops in the Big Ten this season, winning the title.

Big Ten Network’s Alex Roux caught up to the proud parents of winning baby Theodore Daul.
BTN.com: So how did you guys get involved in the baby race?
C: There’s a group on Facebook for mothers in DC. And I saw the ad came up, and Theo’s always been very speedy, so we thought we might as well and see what happens.
BTN.com: So you knew he had a good chance to win, then?
C: We thought he might get a bit shy, but he surprised us. Especially because he clapped when he won. He’s not shy.
And how. Well done, little Theo. A win well-deserved and well-earned.
