Tony Romo’s Instagram debut shows QB playing football with two sons (vid)
Tony Romo may have quite a few things going on in his life at the moment — to put it mildly — but the veteran quarterback nevertheless made time Wednesday to make his debut on Instagram.
The soon-to-be former Dallas Cowboys quarterback — for all intents and purposes — made his first foray onto Instagram by posting a video of him teaching sons Hawkins and Rivers some football.
“Well, here’s my first instagram,” Romo writes in the post. “Thanks for all the support this year everyone. I think you’ll enjoy some videos I have stored from my crazy kids. This might be my favorite.”
It all makes for an adorable scene, with Romo coaching his kids up and teaching them the lingo and how to run routes. It’s too bad little Rivers ended up a little frightened by Hawkins slinging it in there with some zip. But after a few tears, he probably was no worse for wear.
As mentioned, it’s great to see Romo enjoying the small pleasures in life, what with all the professional upheaval and family developments. Romo’s wife Candice recently announced the couple is expecting their third child, a boy, with a due date of Sept. 1.
Not only that, by that time, Romo obviously will be embarking on the next stage of his NFL career. While the speculation and rumors are nearly too numerous to mention (more on that here and here), it’s all but certain Romo will be wearing another NFL jersey, although Candice has other suggestions as well.
But as demonstrated by his great Instagram post, whatever happens, family provides a great source of comfort for Romo in the face of all the professional pressures.
