Jason Pierre-Paul taunts Twitter followers over ‘talking BS’

Jason Pierre-Paul apparently has had it with his Twitter followers talking trash, presumably over how he’s seeking an $85 million contract with his next deal. The soon-to-be unrestricted free agent fired back by taunting them, pointing out that he sits atop this particular social media food chain, not the other way around.

Before taking his Twitter followers to task, JPP issued a warning to NFL quarterbacks.

A few hours later, Pierre-Paul took aim at his social media critics, presumably Giants fans who find it absurd he’s seeking such an enormous deal.

Pierre-Paul played in only the final eight games of the 2015 NFL season due to complications and lengthy recovery following a devastating 4th of July fireworks accident that resulted in grisly and life-altering injuries to his right hand.

The defensive lineman rebounded in many respects in 2016 after signing a one-year, $10.5 million “prove-it” deal to remain with the Giants. He registered seven sacks and 53 tackles before a sports hernia shut his season down after 12 games.

It’s difficult to gauge whether or not the Giants will pay such a premium for the 28-year-old sack specialist. The Giants organization did remain loyal and supportive throughout JPP’s catastrophic injury ordeal. Pierre-Paul also stayed remarkably positive throughout his grueling rehabilitation, while also reaching out to a child who suffered similar trauma and donating money to a burn center.

Pierre-Paul deserves all the credit for persevering and trying to turn a personal and professional negative into a positive for others. But let’s just say JPP clearly has no love for the Twitter trolls. That much is clear.
