Sidney Crosby gives stick to little girl holding sign asking for it (vid)
Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby isn’t just the one of the best hockey players on the planet, he may also be one of the most thoughtful, especially to children.
Case in point: Following the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-2 throttling of the New York Rangers on home ice Tuesday night, Crosby was making his way down the tunnel when he an adorable little girl holding a sign caught his eye.
The sign read, “Sid, can I have your stick please!” So Crosby turned back around and obliged, handing his game-used stick to the lucky little girl.
Suffice to say, her reaction of awe and joy was heartwarming and priceless.

It turns out the little girl’s name is Lydia, something we discovered after her father replied to the above tweet, making note just how excited his daughter was over Crosby honoring the request on her sign.
