Kevin Durant doesn’t ‘give a damn about no damn Drake Night’ (vid)
The Toronto Raptors hosted the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night at Air Canada Centre on an evening where the home team also was paying tribute to Drake, its number-one celebrity superfan.
The Raptors hold an evening every season to celebrate the fervent support the team receives from the hometown music mogul, an event conveniently called, “Drake Night.”
One thing was made abundantly clear once the night’s festivities concluded: Warriors superstar Kevin Durant “don’t give a damn about no damn Drake Night.”
Durant’s aversion to “Drake Night” or any other Drake-related nonsense may have been in part due to the musician’s patented courtside antics, behavior he has become well known for over the years.
Drake attempted to stare down Durant as the Warriors star sat on the scorer’s table. By all appearances, Drake’s attempt at intimidation or distraction or whatever had no impact on Durant.

But what prompted Durant’s ire perhaps most is how Drake interrupted his on-court interview with ESPN’s Israel Gutierrez. As Durant was fielding questions, Drake sidled by, bumping Durant in the process. This elicited a steely-eyed glare from Durant in Drake’s direction.
Gutierrez then set up a question on a tee by asking Durant about “Drake Night,” mentioning the rapper was the individual who just caused the disturbance.

“I don’t give a damn about no damn Drake Night,” Durant said.
That’s likely the case. The fact that the Warriors ruined “Drake Night” by walking out of Air Canada Centre with a 127-121 victory over the Raptors probably delighted Durant to no end, too.
