Michelle Obama, Cavs did one of those Mannequin Challenge things (vid)
The Cleveland Cavaliers paid a visit to the White House on Thursday to celebrate their NBA title. A grand time of course was had by one and all, but perhaps the highlight of the festivities was how Michelle Obama and LeBron James starred along with Cavs players in a White House-worthy version of the “Mannequin Challenge” that for some reason has set the world of social media on fire.
With James and the First Lady centering the action — or lack thereof — by posing for a selfie, the rest of the Cavs contingent struck a pose and played along with the bit. Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson add to the scene by posing for a selfie with a portrait of George Washington. Kyrie Irving is spotted interacting with Iman Shumpert. And J.R. Smith sneaks in for a FLOTUS-King James photobomb. Unfortunately, Smith is not shirtless.

The selfie featuring Ms. Obama and James would have come out like this one, which James posted to Instagram.
Seriously, does anyone understand this wacky craze? It’s like planking or Tebowing or whatever, only … yeah, it’s exactly like those things.
All the Mannequin Challenge chicanery and tomfoolery aside, James wrote eloquently about the selfie with the First Lady.
“Just messing around with FLOTUS!! Really @realcfrye!?!? Come a long way from Akron man! So damn blessed and humbled,” James wrote.
If what Richard Jefferson predicted comes to fruition, the Cavaliers made sure things went out on a high note … even if it involved the Mannequin Challenge.
