LeBron James gifts Indians custom headphones ahead of Game 1 (pics)

Before taking the field for Game 1 of the World Series at Progressive Field, the Cleveland Indians were the benefactors of a nice good luck gift courtesy of LeBron James.

The Indians official Twitter account posted a clubhouse pic of how the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar sent along custom headphones to the entire squad. The tweet also included evidence of how the Indians expressed their gratitude to James with an autographed jersey courtesy of young superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor.

James has been out front with his 100 percent support of the Indians’ chase of a World Series title despite the fact he has also acknowledged his longtime loyalty to the New York Yankees.

It nevertheless proved to be a “banner” night in Cleveland in more ways than one. The Cavaliers won their season opener by blowing out the New York Knicks by a score of 117-88 after raising their championship banner and receiving their title rings. But more importantly, the Indians shut out the Chicago Cubs 6-0 to take a 1-0 lead in the World Series.

James even took to Twitter to acknowledge the Indians’ Game 1 success while addressing his World Series bet with longtime pal and Chicago native Dwyane Wade.

It’s good to be a sports fan in Cleveland right about now, to say the least.
