Once-portly Blue Jackets superfan Dancing Kevin lost 150 pounds (pic)
Dancing Kevin, a Columbus Blue Jackets superfan who entertained the hometown crowd in Nationwide Arena by getting jiggly with it during his patented dance routines, has lost a whopping 150 pounds.
Kevin Schroeder, a/k/a Dancing Kevin, once weighed in at 358 pounds. Realizing enough was enough, the 44-year-old enlisted the help of support groups while using a meal service to improve portion size. Frequent visits to the gym, sometimes even twice a day, resulted in the Schroeder trimming down to just around 205 pounds.
There were pitfalls and setbacks along the way, but Schroeder persevered, utilizing as motivation what others have been telling him: Despite being a fan favorite for his antics, he had so much more to offer than being a fat, funny guy that people can point and laugh at.
And one of the many benefits of his dedication and discipline had to be highlighted by him debuting his new much-more-svelte physique at the Blue Jackets’ home opener Thursday night.
Fantastic. Congratulations, Dancing Kevin. May his madcap antics continue, along with his inspiring, impressive and much-improved health.
