Alabama brewery trolls Les Miles, LSU over coach’s firing (pic)
Druid City Brewing Co. has become well known in college football circles for their typically Alabama Crimson Tide-themed murals (see here and here for examples). Given the establishment sits right in the heart of Roll Tide Land in Tuscaloosa, Ala., that’s hardly a surprise.
The SEC of course experienced a seismic event this week when Les Miles was let go as the head coach of the LSU Tigers. And Druid City couldn’t help but do a little bit of trolling at the Crimson Tide rival’s expense.
Riffing on Miles’ patented and much-maligned clock mismanagement, the brewing company created an impressive piece of artwork, done in chalk, inspired by legendary surrealist Salvador Dali’s “Persistence of Time.” Only the artwork that draws inspiration from Dali’s masterpiece is called, “The Persistence of Clock Management.”
We're going to miss you and your surrealistic style of coaching, @LSUCoachMiles – we offer a tribute "The Persistence of Clock Management". pic.twitter.com/7ZqaVakVxy

That’s some cold-blooded stuff right there. But the argument that the handiwork isn’t quite impressive cannot be forwarded. Amazing.
