When a photo surfaced a few weeks back on social media of LeBron James and Mark Wahlberg hanging out together surrounded by weights, many just assumed that it was simply a case of two A-listers — not to mention fitness buffs — enjoying a workout together.

It turns out the hangout/workout session may have entailed much more than just breaking a sweat, as Wahlberg revealed that he and James are trying to put together a movie project together. The actor revealed the news during an appearance Tuesday on “The Tonight Show.”

“He and I are talking about doing a movie together,” Wahlberg told Jimmy Fallon, who said the photograph was taken at his Los Angeles home.

It turns out the untitled movie project — which presumably is still in its infancy stage — revolves around a fantasy camp where attendees get to rub elbows with big-time athletes.

“It’s actually a great idea,” Wahlberg continued. “These guys get to go to one of these fantasy camps and me and LeBron have a ‘situation.'”

James of course has spent the past several years making considerable inroads into Hollywood, primarily through his production company, SpringHill Entertainment.

The most recent development outside of Wahlberg’s big reveal is how James recently sold his production company’s first scripted series to NBC, a sports medicine drama.

Other television projects produced by SpringHill include “Cleveland Hustle,” a reality series airing on CNBC, as well as “Survivor’s Remorse, airing on Starz. That series is loosely based on James’ life. Also tentatively slated as an upcoming project is a long anticipated “Space Jam” sequel, with James reportedly serving as its star.

James also received acclaim for his cameo in the 2015 Amy Schumer vehicle, “Trainwreck.” It appears James’ next film might feature him portraying himself once again, only this time he’ll be butting heads with Mark Wahlberg.
