Cowboys fan LeBron James praises Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz

LeBron James is a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan, so the fact he recently sang the praises of two New York Giants wide receivers certainly is an interesting development.

The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar took to Instagram Tuesday to issue two separate posts to articulate his admiration for Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz.

The posted tribute to Beckham, which included video highlights of Beckham practicing, included the message: “My lil bro @iam_objxiii looking real sharp throughout camp right now!! Keep going and don’t settle for nothing less than Greatness!!”

Beckham and James share a mutual friend in Maverick Carter, the NBA superstar’s business manager. In fact, Carter put together a joint workout session for the two stars.

“I don’t want to say I gained a new level of respect for him because I already have the utmost respect for him,” Beckham said of James, via ESPN. “He’s my favorite athlete and the one that I look to the most, so it was just cool, just a cool experience for me to be able to go down and work with him.”

James’ tribute to Cruz, meanwhile, comes on the heels of the Giants wide receiver returning to practice this week after injuries limited him to only six games in 2014 and missing the entire 2015 season.

“The face u make when u make when you’ve been working your tail off to get back from adversity/setbacks, injuries, etc etc and u make your return to the practice field(full go) with your squad! Man I’m proud of you bro, more than u think,” James writes in the Instagram post. “Continue to push forward and care nothing about the naysayers. Use it for motivation!”

The fact that both James and Cruz have ties to Nike certainly helps explain the tribute.

But to help matters along in respect to his loyalty to the Cowboys, James added the hashtags, #YesMyBrosPlayForTheGiants and #AsLongAsTheCowboysWin to his posts.

That should help prevent James from being ostracized by Cowboys Nation.
