Bryce Harper quotes Domingo Ayala to riff on mammoth homer (pic)
Even Bryce Harper was left utterly impressed with the vulgar display of power he demonstrated with a majestic mammoth home run that reached the third deck of Nationals Park during Wednesday’s 8-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. So much so, in fact, that he riffed on a quote from social media star, YouTube sensation and baseball quasi-folk hero Domingo Ayala to properly address the round-tripper on social media.
The Washington Nationals slugger took to Twitter to marvel at his own mashing majesty.
As the @domingobeisbol would say, "this is how you impress the scouts" I love this game! #CurlyW https://t.co/7MGfIUoPBV

Harper links to an Instagram post in the tweet that features an image of him admiring the towering homer, his 20th of the season, that traveled a whopping 451 feet, making it his longest home run so far this season.
Here’s a look-see at Harper doing what he does.
What you know about that third deck?

While Harper has hit a rough patch of late after a torrid start to the season, he seems to be rediscovering his swing. And here’s a stat that should serve as a sobering thought for other MLB teams.
Per @statcast, Bryce Harper hit this ball 451 feet. He's now had four 20-homer seasons. He's still 23. pic.twitter.com/tM5iCB3yW3

Now “this is how you impress the scouts.” Domingo Ayala would be proud.
