Series of lightning bolts strike Carolina Panthers’ stadium (vid)

A summer storm made its way through the Charlotte, N.C., area late Monday afternoon and an awe-inspiring series of lightning bolts struck Bank of America Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers.

Footage of the incredible display of natural fireworks were posted to Facebook by NBC Charlotte meteorologist Brad Panovich.

Amazing. If Bank of America Stadium had been the location of the laboratory of some modern-day version of Dr. Frankenstein … well, Charlotte would have some kind of monster on its hands.

Or maybe, just maybe, Cam Newton is now even more powerful than we could have ever possibly imagined. Probably not, but you never know…

Okay, we do know.
