J.R. Smith’s shirtless body shirts are selling like hotcakes (pic)
J.R. Smith spent a majority of the time following the Cleveland Cavaliers winning the NBA title sans shirt, something that helped showcase his heavily tattooed upper body, creating an indelible image of pure joy in the wake of the team breaking their hometown’s decades-long championship drought.
And now, there’s a shirt that allows fans to celebrate and share Smith’s tatted-up torso, in a manner of speaking.
Smith took to Twitter earlier this week to announce a partnership with a t-shirt manufacturer to create a tee that perfectly represents the plethora of tattoos he sports on his chest and back.
It's official. We've partnered w/ @TheRealJRSmith! https://t.co/LBVPgKAuao

All the wild style and none of the blinding pain. Not too shabby.
The shirt sells for $34.99 and ESPN’s Darren Rovell reports on Twitter that it’s selling like hotcakes, with Cleveland-based Fresh Brewed Tees claiming over 1,000 in sales in 24 hours.
Smith’s shirtless campaign practically overshadowed the entirety of the Cavaliers’ rapturous response to winning a championship, highlighted by the fact that President Obama even asked Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue to tell Smith to put a shirt on.
Speaking of which, perhaps Smith can make amends with Obama by shipping him out one of these shirts. Couldn’t hurt, right?
