Brandon Marshall eating grouper and blueberries to lose weight (vid)
New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles apparently wants Brandon Marshall to lose some weight and the wide receiver has committed himself to eating some arguably distasteful menu pairings to shed some pounds.
Marshall shared a video on Twitter where he showcases a meal consisting of several fillets of grouper paired with …. blueberries?

“This is the face you make when Todd Bowles says he wants you below 230 all season,” he says in the video, clearly in reference to the unappetizing plate sitting in front of him.
Marshall is officially listed at 230 pounds on his NFL.com profile, but apparently has packed on a few pounds since weighing in last season. He adds in his social media commentary that Bowles hopes to see him as slim and fast as he was during his playing days with the Miami Dolphins. It certainly seems Marshall is heeding his coach’s requests, or at least is putting forth an honest effort.
But it’s not diet alone that helps Marshall get into tip-top shape for a grueling NFL season, as Newsday has an interesting profile about the great lengths he’s willing to go to prepare for the grind of training camp and beyond.
But grouper and blueberries together? Gross.
