Panthers trolled by Broncos after tweeting condolences to Warriors

The Carolina Panthers are only a few months removed from coming up short in a quest for a championship after losing in Super Bowl 50 to the Denver Broncos. The team utilized this unfortunate perspective on losing to send condolences the way of the Golden State Warriors, who of course just blew a 3-1 series lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, culminating in a stunning Game 7 loss on their home court.

The Panthers’ official Twitter account replied to a tweet from the Warriors that acknowledged the disappointing end to the team’s record-setting season.

A thoughtful gesture from the Panthers, to be sure. But the wisenheimers running the Broncos official Twitter account couldn’t leave well enough alone, replying to the Panthers tweet with a savage serving of snarky comeuppance.

Ouch. Talk about rubbing salt into a vanquished foe’s wounds. While hilarious, that’s a hardcore slight by the Broncos.
