Lions react to lightning above Lambeau that resembled team logo (pic)

The Green Bay Packers posted a tweet Monday afternoon showcasing a spectacular lightning strike above Lambeau Field.

While it is a mesmerizing image in and of itself, it didn’t take long for observers on the Internet to point out that the shape of the lightning bolt bore somewhat of a resemblance to the logo of a Packers division rival, the Detroit Lions.

Perhaps inspired to react with a subtle bit of trolling in mind, the operators of the Lions’ official Twitter account opted to point out that they too noticed the similarity.

Interestingly, heading into last season, it’s been a long, long time since the Lions could even express anything close to cheekiness regarding anything playing out inside or above Lambeau Field. Before a Nov. 15 road victory over the Packers by an 18-16 score, the Lions hadn’t won at Lambeau going all the way back to Dec. 15, 1991.

And that wasn’t even the end of it as far as NFL teams are concerned. The San Diego Chargers also reacted to the lightning strike while taking credit for the meteorological phenomena.

There you go.
