Joey Votto booed at Dodger Stadium for stomping paper airplane (vid)
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto drew the ire of the crowd at Dodger Stadium Tuesday after he aggressively stomped on a paper airplane that landed in the infield during the 7th inning of his team’s 8-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The fact that the paper airplane was tossed from the upper deck in left field — in foul territory no less — should have elicited a favorable reaction from all present. But Votto clearly wasn’t going to play the role of impressed onlooker.

Votto appeared to smirk as he returned to his position after his aggressive stomp, so odds are he was having a bit of sarcastic fun with the entire incident.
But that didn’t mean the Dodgers faithful weren’t going to let him have it for his sourpuss antics, a reaction that was helped along by Adrian Gonzalez giving Votto’s act a big thumbs down.
Booing of course ensued.
The fans are chanting "airplane stomper" at Joe Votto.

Either way, Votto isn’t going to be invited to join Bryce Harper’s “Make Baseball Fun Again” movement anytime soon with that kind of attitude.
