Von Miller spends $25,000 to customize Super Bowl ring (pic)

If the standard Super Bowl championship ring isn’t flashy enough, Von Miller went out and spent $25,000 to jack up his NFL championship bling, resulting in a piece of jewelry that features an amazing 15 carats of diamonds.

TMZ has learned that the ring is adorned with 14 karat rose gold and covered with VS quality diamonds, whatever that means.

As far as the tricked-out design of the ring is concerned, it features MGB (Money Bag Gang) in tribute to Miller’s crew of close friends. One side of the ring honors Miller’s home state of Texas while the other side features “SB50 MVP” to celebrate Miller receiving the accolade courtesy of his standout performance in the Denver Broncos’ 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.

Speaking of the Broncos, it’s been relatively quiet on the new contract front in recent weeks. But Miller has said say as recently as a few weeks ago he intends to be a “Bronco for life” — among other statements proclaiming he intends to stay in Denver despite he and the team being unable to hammer out a long-term deal after Miller had the franchise tag applied to him by the organization.

As it stands, Miller is slated to earn $14.1 million in the 2016 NFL season. But Miller has yet to sign the franchise tender, nor has he participated in the voluntary portion of the Broncos offseason program and isn’t expected to going forward.

And yet, he has stressed that the July 15 deadline – when a player on a franchise tag either has to sign the tender or long-term deal — means there’s plenty of time remaining to work out things.

Given that TMZ is reporting that the $25,000 spent to bling-out his Super Bowl ring was all part of a $120,000 jewelry shopping spree, Miller would be advised to figure out a deal that makes himself and the Broncos happy and put pen to paper.
