Kristaps Porzingis short ‘Porzingod’ gives Knicks fans hope (vid)
Last week, it was learned that a comedy short about New York Knicks rookie sensation Kristaps Porznigis was slated to premiere at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend.
Starring Adam Mucci and John Leguizamo, the short film, “Porzingod,” is the creation of brothers Tyler and Conor Byrne, New York City natives and self-professed Knicks fans.
It depicts that budding Latvian superstar as a revelation and potential savior of the dysfunctional Knicks organization, as the two actors kneel at an altar of sorts and pray to a religious-like painting of Porzingis, who of course is holding a unicorn, for obvious reasons.
Footage of the comedic short has now been made available online, and it’s well worth a look, especially for long-suffering Knicks fans.
Good stuff. But perhaps not so funny to dejected Knicks backers, though.
