Colts punter Pat McAfee tweets 4/20 jokes, gets drug-tested 4/21
Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee took to Twitter Wednesday to make some wisecracks about it being 4/20. And in a development that is too crazy — and funny — to be a coincidence, he was subjected to a urinalysis Thursday.
McAfee got the ball rolling with a couple of tweets that acknowledged the marijuana-related relevance to the day.
I can't celebrate this particular day..But I know a large % of my followers are..So happy laughter day 2 those of u snacking at a hefty rate

I imagine Colorado being a bit foggy today.

Incidentally, the NFL selected 4/20 as the day it opened its offseason drug-testing window, so there already was some arguably unintentional humor involved with the date and the league.
But it was no laughing matter when McAfree was notified Thursday that he needed to take a league-mandated drug test.
April 21st… Piss testing paradise

The punter later showcased photographic evidence that he was to be tested.
When you tweet on 4/20.. Can’t make this up pic.twitter.com/6hoasLoGML

McAfee fancies himself as something of an aspiring stand-up comedian — seriously — but it looks like his attempt at humor backfired on him this time. His recent foray into social media skullduggery involving J.J. Watt arguably was funnier … and didn’t cause him any aggravation, either.
But hey, at least the NFL waited one day before notifying McAfee. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell wasn’t afforded the same luxury, much to his bemused chagrin.
