Charles Barkley’s telestrator shenanigans literally writes-off Rockets (vid)
The Houston Rockets sneaked into the 2016 NBA Playoffs as the eighth seed in the Western Conference after an utterly disappointing 41-41 regular season. This meant the team faced the daunting task of playing the seemingly unstoppable Golden State Warriors in the first round.
After getting throttled in Game 1 to the tune of a 104-78 loss, the Rockets’ prospects of perhaps eking out a victory in the series was bolstered when Stephen Curry was forced to sit out Game 2 due to a bum ankle.
But even with the Warriors’ best player riding the pine, the Rockets couldn’t manage a victory, losing 115-106 Monday night.
This was all the ammunition necessary for Charles Barkley, NBA on TNT’s resident wisenheimer, to mock and ridicule the Rockets via some telestrator shenanigans.
When TNT put up a graphic showing the remaining games in the Rockets-Warriors series, Barkley crossed off the Rockets logo, along with the date and times of Games 5, 6 and 7 while repeatedly stating, “Not necessary.”

Barkley clearly recognizes Golden State will be moving on to the second round, despite his ultimate prediction concerning the Warriors.
Good stuff, Sir Charles. And more importantly, probably a balls-on assessment of the ultimate outcome of the series to boot.
